Volunteering
Bumble says: “I say blame Chas and Dave! I know I can rabbit on about this but Jolly John’s only works so well because of all the volunteers who make the Play Farm such a great and happy place to be. We need people of all ages who share our values (see home page) to help out with the activities and learning experiences. You don’t need to be experienced – if you have a heart to give, that’s what we are looking for! If you have a spare hour a week or even one hour a year, please use the contact form and we will be sure to reply! Below are some of the ways in which you could help out!”
- Saturday Club – chatting to people, helping with creative activities, making coffee and tea…
- One off Events – preparation, welcoming people, running a stall…
- Maintenance – cutting back brambles, gardening, watering…
- Gardening – help with planting and growing flowers and vegetables…
- Learning – teaching residents of all ages new skills…
- Children’s Gardening – encouraging and supporting small groups of children from St John’s C of E Primary to garden and grow midweek afternoons…
- Fundraising – why not choose Jolly John’s Play Farm as your non-profit organisation to raise funds for?
